UX review & interface audit

Area: UI/UX & Digital Identity · Usual shape: diagnosis and a prioritised report · The output: an actionable list

When users complain without saying what about, the answer is not to redesign everything. A review shows exactly where people get stuck, and separates what can be fixed this week from what needs a bigger decision — and sometimes it is all you need.

What this solves

  • Support answers the same question forever.
  • Users abandon the same step every time.
  • The product tests well internally and badly outside.
  • Someone has raised an accessibility complaint.

What we build

  • Performing the real tasks on the product the way a user would.
  • A review against established interface principles.
  • An accessibility check: contrast, keyboard, screen reader.
  • Arabic and direction review on every screen.
  • A performance review where speed is affecting use.
  • Findings ranked by impact and by cost to fix.
  • A visual example for each finding, so nothing is ambiguous.
  • Optional redesign of the worst screens, if you want it.

Where it is used

  • Support answering the same question forever.
  • Users stopping at one specific step.
  • A product that works well internally and badly outside.
  • Before deciding on a rebuild, to find out whether one is necessary.

What this does not include

  • No statistical findings — this is an expert review, not a sampled study.
  • No lab testing with recruited participants unless agreed separately.
  • No accessibility conformance certificate.
  • Implementation is not part of the review; it is a separate scope.

How the work goes

  • We agree the three or four tasks that matter most before looking at anything.
  • We do those tasks ourselves, on the real product, and record where they break.
  • We rank findings by impact against cost, not by how obvious they are.
  • We hand over a list someone can start on Monday.

Questions about this service

How long does a review take?

Short, and bounded — we agree its scope up front so it does not turn into the project. What you get at the end is a written, prioritised list rather than a conversation.

Does it include implementation?

No. Keeping them separate is deliberate: it means the findings are not shaped by who would be paid to fix them.

Do you test with real users?

Not as part of this scope. This is an expert review against how the product actually behaves. Recruited testing is valuable and different, and we would agree it separately.

What do we receive at the end?

A ranked list of findings, each with a visual example and an assessment of impact against cost. It is written to be actionable by whoever maintains the product.

Does it cover the Arabic version?

Yes, screen by screen and in the correct direction. It is frequently where the most findings are, and where reviews that only look at English miss them entirely.
