Maintenance, Support & Continuous Development
Launch is a milestone, not an ending. Software nobody maintains breaks on its own — platform updates, ageing packages, a browser that changed — and software nobody develops falls behind the work it was built for. This area is both: keeping it working, keeping it current, and picking up what somebody else left when that is what is needed.

What clients usually come to us with
- “The site went down on a Friday and we did not notice until Monday.”
- “We have had a list of deferred features since launch and nobody has touched it.”
- “The developer who built the system is unavailable and nobody dares change it.”
- “The packages were last updated years ago.”
Choosing between them
- Maintenance or continuous development?
- Maintenance keeps what exists working: updates, faults, monitoring. Continuous development adds what does not: features, changes, planned rounds. They are usually bought together, and we do not have to pretend they are alternatives.
- Takeover or maintenance?
- We do not take on maintenance of a system we have not seen. The takeover is the step before it: review, documentation and a plan — after which both sides decide whether maintenance makes sense at all.
- Takeover or rebuild?
- The audit settles it. Sometimes the existing build is sound and merely neglected; sometimes fixing it costs more than replacing it — and we say which, even when the answer is less work for us.

Questions about this area
Do you offer round-the-clock support?
No. We do not publish response times or service-level agreements. We agree a realistic arrangement per client instead of publishing a promise we could not always keep.
Do you maintain what someone else built?
After a technical audit, yes. Before one, no — committing to look after something we have not seen is not a real commitment.
What exactly does support include?
It is written per client: updates, faults, monitoring, small changes and a regular report of what was done. What is not included is written down too.
